Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just got the photos from my first DE at Road Atlanta. The shots taken in the rain are amazing. It was a blast.

POST 2Original post

dude those ROCK!! so 2 q's how wet was it in the back seat after the runs and how did you dry it out what class who took the pics are you singing up for the "next one" are you moving up one level or staying in the same class (we have A-B-C-D class) thats 2 questions right looking great, love the pics!

POST 3Original post

Wow......that 3rd pic is awesome. Sound like you have been bitten by the bug! Very Nice!

POST 4Original post

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you had a blast. My race last year at Road Atlanta was in the rain. Most fun I have ever had in a race car. Coming through T12 at speed in the rain separates the men from the boys

Soooo, I think that's 4 q's, but, who's counting 1. Surprisingly, that back seat was not near as wet as I thought it would be and dried out pretty quickly. 2. First DE, so I was a Class 1 driver (did "graduate" to 2 for the next event) 3. Pics were taken by Colour Tech South - apparently they show up at a host of events around the SE and are great to work with (~$50 for about 40 shots or so) - www.colourtechsouth.com 4. Will defintely do it again. It really is amazing learning that the car has much more capability than this driver!

Going under the bridge and entering a blind 12 in any condition seperates the men from the boys in my book!

POST 7Original post

How about this for a T12 "code brown" http://www.vimeo.com/3976869 fyi...my engineer knocked my camera out of alignment before the session so the angle is a little screwy but you definitely get the idea

POST 8Original post

Thanks! my thoought was that I would most likely move up one level after the first event (since I have about 15 days in at the other track) and the next event has openings in the D class, but not C so I wasnt sure i wanted to sign up just yet... my event is this Sat... I am like a kid waiting for Santa... so freeking excited!!

The opening frame says it all though. You have to have TOTAL faith setting up for the turn. BTW, amazing save coming out of the turn! ...loose it either right or left there and its gonna hurt - nothing but concrete wall.

POST 11Original post

We lost about a dozen cars that morning in the wall going through T12 in the rain. I thought for sure I bought the farm. Wallet self preservation has a funny way of taking over in a situation like that

What track do you guys run? I'm assuming something in the Seattle area? Also, will this be your first DE in the new car? Am really interested to hear your comments about the differences in handling and horsepower.

POST 14Original post

yes, its called pacific raceways LINK first time in the 86 and I ave not had time to toss it around yet so I am a little timid going in...plus its stock with much larger sidewall tires, smaller brakes, no ABS, no power steering on and on...

POST 15Original post

Awesome. The C4S rocks on track, especially in the rain! I'd like to hear your thoughts on how it went relative to your expectations for your first event.

read between those lines... what Scott really is asking is "is there a GT3 in your future"

POST 17Original post

Ed.....you are so right. Scott is a BAD influence!

Ha! No way. I miss the C4S actually, but I have my first event at VIR with the GT3 this weekend, and this will likely cure any feelings of nostalgia. I just really like seeing others get hooked, especially with a C4S; it really is a great car on track. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Who's a bad influence??

POST 20Original post

You guys are a trip! So, I had an absolutely terrific time in the DE and will definitely do it again...and again...and again. As I mentioned, it was a very humbling experience. I've always considered myself a pretty good driver, but, DE is driving at a completely different level (no room for error) and a well set up P-Car is a track animal. I gained a new level of appreciation of the wonderful mix of horsepower, suspension and all-wheel drive My take aways for the weekend were: 1. You can't have enough track time 2. I don't need any more hp in the car right now. 3. Next mod will be suspension 4. You can't have enough track time My goals are to work my way up to Class 3 and (drum-roll!) start looking at a GT3 Everything I have read points me in that direction if I'm going to get serious about this. If something happens along the way, I will certainly be happy my C4S. Its a great car.

POST 23Original post

1. Seat Time Seat Time Seat Time is how we get better! 2. Bingo! Once you can tap the cars full potential there is better places to spend your $$$ (see #1) 3. Good call but I would suggest brake pads and fluid first. 4. See #1

+1 You nailed it right on the head.......once you have the brakes taken care of go for the suspension. My 1st DE of the season is this weekend too. This will be the 3rd year and it took 2 years (7 DE's) to get out of D class to C from the get go. I AM DAMN GIDDY!
