Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There are a few (5) Aston Martin folks in my building - they all park on the same floor in the garage, all next to each other. A while back, there were a few different models in the pecking order - DB7, DB8, DB8 Vantage (or maybe it was a DB7 Vantage) - anyway, one guy goes and upgrades to a new DB9. Then about a week later, a second DB9 shows up. Then another, and recently the 4th DB9 arrived. So now there is just one hold out - the DB7 guy. I know he's just plotting to get the new DB when it comes out and have bragging rights, lol. There are 5+ P-cars in the garage as well - including one sweet blue turbo, one or two Caymans, Boxters, and of course, the necessary 911 - but we don't park next to each other [edit: Aug 2008] New additions to this story. Adding a new post to page 3. [edit: Nov 2009] Now attending: Porsche Panamera Turbo. Added post to page 3. -td

POST 2Original post

sounds like this party i went to once where there were a few lamborghinis, carrera gt, and ferraris parked out front. And sure enough, you could tell who owned what because they were all out by the pool wearing their respective hats......

POST 3Original post

No way!! Unbalievable, I would of laughed my A$$ off.

POST 5Original post

Geesh, what kind of company do you work for? Reminds me of that Friends episode where Joey pretended to own the Porsche parked in the street and was wearing all of the Porsche gear.

POST 6Original post

My friends as a joke almost bought me a porsche hat for my birthday last summer....

POST 7Original post

That's unreal, 5 Aston Martin and 5 P-cars in one building???? Where do you live, Man J/K... Cheers,

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I went down to get a pic after lunch, and it looks like a couple are gone for thanksgiving already. I'll snap some on Monday. -td

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There are usually 5 here, but today there were only 4. Note my P in the background, lol. A new Cayman and a 911 Turbo are usually on this floor of the Garage as well. On the bottom floor (where I park) is a nice Boxter-S and 997. Some pics of the Astons: Aston1.jpg Aston2.jpg Aston3.jpg Aston4.jpg Aston5.jpg Aston6.jpg Aston7.jpg

POST 11Original post

Damn, those AMs make the parking places look rather skinny! Think I'd be paying for a double berth in the garage to keep some space between my car and the opposition. Are all of those oil spots on the floor from the AMs? Chris.

POST 12Original post

Bunch of freaking James Bond wannabes. Where do you live, and what does everyone do for a living?

POST 15Original post

proves that no matter how expensive your car, no guarantee you can drive (ie park) it

POST 16Original post

I was gonna comment on the parking jobs too...kinda crappy. I would hate for those guys to park next to me sheesh!

POST 17Original post

That is the worst parking I have ever seen in my life... Now that said great cars I can't believe that there are that many in one place. And not one coupe in the lot. I guess too much sun there. Nice BRG over brown great color combo.

POST 19Original post

Company perk? I know someone that is a Partner in an organization and all of the Partners get a Jag XJR.

POST 20Original post

What did the Partners who had performed well get?

POST 22Original post

I was thinking the same thing! I wish Vinnie bought me a Astin Martin also.

POST 24Original post

You got it twisted patner, its "don't hate, particitipate"...

POST 26Original post

Funny *** thread. Gotta be a law firm. As for the hats, that's so true. On the other hand, my mom (late 70's) thought she was doing me a solid earlier this year when she bought me a FERRARI hat. I said, "Thanks mom." My 6 year old son wears it all the time.

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, so if remember, it wasn't too long ago that the Aston upgrade was taking place in my garage. Well, it looks like the war is on again.

POST 28Original post

Someone bought a Chevy Malibu in the background eh? Nice.

POST 30Original post

Dang thats a lot of astons for one parking garage. Wouldnt see much of that in Phoenix. a few p cars, but not 5 and 4 am's...... Nice

POST 33Original post

Quotes source post: 4498614

It could be! No offense to the Impala guys.

POST 34Original post

It will be interesting in seeing if they all follow suit.

POST 35Original post

I think they should all just go to the men's room, pull it out and get it over with.

POST 36 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, the story continues to unfold. As noted a few months ago, one of the Astons upgraded his car to this: [note the 3 DB9's in the second picture] Bent1.jpg Bent2.jpg But this recently showed up: dbs1.jpg dbs2.jpg dbs3.jpg

POST 37Original post

At least he's got a good and safe parking spot! So where is the garage... Greenwich?

POST 38Original post

Quotes source post: 5685938

Seriously, what time must he arrive to get that spot (assuming it's not reserved)?

POST 39 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5685938

Dallas I think those are all reserved spots. That boxed spot often has a 997Turbo. -td

Thought that looked familiar - Chase, right?

POST 41Original post

I used to work in a building a few years ago with a bunch of mortgage brokers. Parking lot also looked something like that, also a hideous Maybach of all things. They used to park in a circle. At lunch, they would all get together for a circle-... uh, nevermind. But the good news is now they're all driving Kia's.

POST 42 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5686121

Yup. You worky in Chase? -td

POST 43Original post

I love the groupings... Ah, to park my Porsche among Aston Martins.... That would be a kick in the pants! -B

POST 49Original post

Nice! I've been waiting to see one in the wild. Thanks for posting!

POST 50Original post

Wow, this thread comes back to life. Dig the new P-car..... I got to try all 3 versions over a short track recently. Now I've heard the new customer-ordered cars were delayed at the 4 ports for a key/software upgrade and the new owners are getting complimentary $3850 worth of Porsche Design luggage. So does that company need a west coast rep?

POST 51Original post

When my Accord was delayed at the dealer, I got a f**king Honda key chain!

POST 53Original post

I'm doing the wrong thing for a living apparently.

POST 54Original post

Quotes source post: 3665824

+1.... Love it when they keep with tradition.

POST 55Original post

The first thought in my mind when seeing the Panamera photo is "what Mom is driving this stationwagon?" Hehehehe.

POST 57Original post

AWESOME thread. Very cool to see the progression over 2 years.... keep us updated. No disrespect to the Panamera owner(s), but .... I just can't like its lines. I'm looking forward to the 928.

POST 58Original post

I see someone's getting the free luggage! Seriously, can't they all afford GERMAN cars?

Halliburton's offices are down the street at Lincoln Plaza.... They don't have that nice a parking garage.
