Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm searching hard for "my" Porsche, and one of the ones I'm strongly considering has this wing on it: I've searched, and as near as I can tell, it's a TechArt wing, but I can't be certain. Can anyone offer any guidance on that? Also, does anyone have any BTDTs with respect to market value for a wing like this? I like the wing a lot, but this car will be a daily driver for me and I would tend toward a stock movable spoiler. (And yes, I have read up on the effects of a partial aero kit! ) -vik

POST 2Original post

Hard to tell from the pics,, looks like an aftermarket 996 Turbo wing for a narrow body car.

POST 6Original post

When I look at that I think of a Rhino Beetle. Sorry not my cup of tea.

POST 7Original post

Bad fitment too. Body gaps are all screwed up.

POST 8Original post

there is a member here with that turbo style wing his name is "paul???" something.... his avatar has captain america in it (anyone remember him?).... couldnt find him in my search. Anyway, though the plain turbo wing looks cool by itself, I dont think it looks good on a NB model.... that bi-wing on top is also a retrofit of the aftermarket..... to each his own, but a bit to chaotic for me. BTW: it is a fixed wing.... you can leave it up or down.... we all know the up position looks the coolest.

POST 9Original post

Whatever it is, it isn't a Turbo. Sorry, but I'm just speechless.....and not in a good way.

Don't knock it...ducks are soft

POST 13Original post

it looks like the porsche optional wing for a GT2 which you can add to a turbo

POST 14Original post

As stated previously, you seriously need to look at that gap on the bottom of the wing to bumper and make a call from that.

Uh, no. Not even close.
