I got my car nearly a month ago, but I've posted only a cheesy dealer shot so far. Here's a couple of photos of my car with GNR996 over at the shop where we work. I think they turned out OK. Mine's the silver one.

Nice cars!
thanks for posting the pics Jasper. should explain though the bikes in the pics are not for when our motors calf..... difference in ride hight does not show so much, was hoping for a better comparison. I'm biased for sure, but I do love the 996, great looking cars and performance to match... oh, and mine would be the black one. couple of pics from the last autoX. Jaspers car and a GT3RS, WOW!!!
is the black one lowered...? silver stock height? what suspension in both? Thanks for sharing

yup - silver is stock NA suspension, black one is on PSS9 coilovers, which are of course adjustable for ride height. Geoff measured the height from floor to inside fender lip right while I was waxing the car. Did you note the measurements at all Geoff?

Yup, got the tape on both... but you know I should have written them down, sorry. To guess, it's not more then 1"3/4 inch difference if that.
on the autocross I was looking at the body to tire gap of your car (silver) and thinking mine was worse than that, i hope the new springs i just put in help tone that down a tad... great picture though

Hey Ed, You should make the trip up here on the 28th of June, club has another autoX and it would be great to have another 996 in the line up.
beautiful shots

was a great day at the last autoX. Jasper had provided his car to the club member that does a LOT of work staging the events so we thought it would be good to get a comparison so in the afternoon Rich drove my car. The body movements much more controlled on mine with the PSS9's and H&R sway bars. Jasper is much faster then me, but I did manage to eclipse his time, all down to suspension we figure. Unless I have gotten faster.. Jasper is on the hunt for a deal on some coil overs so... anybody?
member AHMET had a set of GT# coil overs for a good price. He is easy to work with, I bought my springs and shocks from him. (the GT3 set up was over my budget) LINK to for sale ad good luck... why do you say he is faster? yet you have the better set up?

I am amateur picture taker. This pic was from last year of my car taken by a nice fella in the club. I think it rocks, the sensation of speed in that pic is great.

Jasper has much more experience then I. With his seal gray car with stock set up and lowering springs he smoked me, I'm sure when he gets this one set up he will be challenging the faster cars. I did the suspension on mine after consulting Jasper the folks at Scan automotive on the north shore and of course searching through threads here on the list.
All of those autocross shots look good, you'll have to give me the high res version of that one of mine. Geoff's just being nice saying I'm faster than him. I have about 12 years AX experience and Geoff's just starting out. He was faster than me by 0.7 seconds on a 55 second lap though, so for the moment it's hard for me to claim victory. New suspension, some better tyres, and some more seat time in the 996 (much much heavier than my previous car) and I'll be out on top again (hopefully).
that pic looks like you are breaking the speed of sound!!! Really awesome! I gotta go to sleep..later guys
