Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After much contemplation on buying a new set of wheels, I decided to have my stock 18" Turbo Look wheels custom finshed. I went with a Porsche Seal Grey center and a machined lip. the whole wheel was then sprayed with around 5 coats of a very tough clear. I am very happy with the finished result. I will post before and after pics of my car when I get the wheels on this afternoon.

POST 2Original post

Wow they look great . Where did you have it done? and how much??

POST 4Original post

They look great - I look forward to seeing how they look on the car.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had them done at Wheel Medic in Columbus, Ohio. The cost was $110.00 per wheel. I will post pics of them on the car this evening hopefully. Thanks for the compliments.

POST 6Original post

yeah lets seem them on the car! I'm interested to see how the seal gray goes with your blue...

POST 8Original post

I love the center and hope the outside ring doesn't look like a whitewall when you put it on the car. for trying something different

POST 9Original post

Those look great - and the price seems very reasonable.

POST 10Original post

WOW. I am truly shocked how good those look. I was thinking "uh oh" at first, but that looks pretty damn good IMO. Are you a Buckeye fan? Any shot you're coming down to Texas for the game next year? If you're a BUckeye of course.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am a Buckeye fan. I am unsure whether I can make the game next year. If it is anything like in Columbus this year, the ticket prices will be outrageous.

POST 12Original post

No doubt they will be crazy. Everyone including me is still going crazy from the Rose Bowl win. I have been waiting my whole life for us to win a title. I am 34. The last partial title we won was 1970, and I was born in 1971. So literally I have been waiting my whole life. It was worth the wait. I think our title must feel very similar to the one you guys won in 2002. You guys knocked off the great power of that period in Miami. No one gave you guys any shot due to the offense no being that powerful and such. What a great game that was and I think you guys must have been on a real high for a long time because of whom you beat to win it, and the game coming down to the last play. Out win is very similar. I was glad you guys had such a great season this year after the Texas game. It made both of our teams look better having great years.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I agree. Playing tough games like that early in the season is tough, but if you prevail and stay undefeated like you did this year, no one can take it away from you. I was rooting for you guys all the way. Enjoy it. It is hard to stay at the top. Fortunately, we have had a nice number of years since Tressel came. Before that we had to suffer through with John Cooper losing every game that mattered for 10 years!

POST 14Original post

now get rid of those amber front turn signals and your car is set!

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am actually one of the few that actually likes the amber on my car. I think that it actually looks better on Zenith Blue than the clear. To each his own I suppose.

POST 16Original post

hmmm, looking at the photo, I'm having trouble imagining them clear, but i suppose I can see it. Are your rear turn signals also amber? How early a 996 build is your car?

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The rears have the amber also. With the Porsche badge on the bonnet and wheel centers being mostly gold, I think that it actually flows nicely. Check out this close-up of the hood. Maybe you can see what I mean. If not, then I guess we have differing tastes. That is what makes the world go around.

POST 18Original post

i'm imagining clear, and I think I likely agree with you, actually.... although that blue is not to my taste that much either

POST 19Original post

This thread has gone on far too long without any pics of the wheels on the car!

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am taking more pictures today.

POST 23Original post

i like what you did with those...the machined outside looks great along with the paint job - your car looks awesome...good work

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am trying to take my time and do the mods/upgrades very tastefully.
