Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey it's a start!! Thanks! C.

POST 4Original post

Chad- We moved to MI 6 years ago from No VA. and live about 20 miles from Auburn Hills. Big change-for the better. Southern MI has lots of golf courses and lakes. Also lots of P-cars. Big snow in the winter (thus the C-4) but the spring, summer, and fall seasons are great. The SEM Porsche club hosts many social and track events-fun for the whole family! Let us know if you need any specific info about the area- Pat & Susan

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Pat! Great feedback. There is an opening up there and I was curious about the area. Thanks! C.

POST 6Original post

Went to U of M in Ann Arbor for 4.5 yrs. As a CA native, it was rough. I don't think I can do it anymore as I come to expect good weather. Those gloomy overcast days are over for me. To me, MI's biggest downside is lack of a real city. Combine that with declining economy, I'd not recommend living there. Schooling was great but I'd be miserable living in bad weather, stuck in a cost cutting job, and not getting any city action. If I had to live in MI, I'd probly look into Bloomfield Hills.

POST 7Original post

Ann Arbor is the center of the universe in Michigan. Hey, look on the bright side, overcast skies preserve your skin from aging like the West coasters. I'm a transplant from New England and I have never looked back. Best move of my life. The Auburn Hills area has plently of very upscale living communities and access to the lake nearby.

POST 8Original post

I grew up and live in Bloomfield Hills. Like almost any other place, it has good things and bad things. It just matters what you prefer. I agree that there is a lack of city life. The suburbs get sort of repetitive. Aurburn Hills is ok but you will get bored after awhile. There's nothing like a big city for social scene. Nothing in Michigan is like Chicago, New York, LA, Miami, etc. Economy - slowing down. Schools - really good. People - a little uptight. Virtually no traffic problems like other places mentioned above. What else would you like to know?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good stuff. Thank you all. Anything else? Outdoor activities? Boating, etc? Chad

POST 10Original post

Boating? We are surrounded by water. As a State, we've allegedly got more boats than the State of Florida. Name you size and purpose. This is vacationland for the land locked other States below us. A lot like Maine in that regard with large spans of uninhabited and undeveloped forest. Fabulous golf, beachside resorts, back country roads for p-car runs, the 4 basic major sports teams, etc. The only downside is that the economy is heavily tied to the auto industry so when they cough, the state catches pneumonia financially.

POST 11Original post

A far as outdoor activities go. I feel that Michigan is a great place to start almost any new sport. For instance, if you want to ski, we got it; sail? - we got it; hike, mountain bike - we got it - you get the point. Problem is that if you get good at any of those, you have to go some where else to feel any challenge for the most part. Skiing for example is much better out west, sailing is good here but nothing like Florida and the east coast. Same goes for much else. More importantly, I would never admit this to my soon to be wife, but the girls are far prettier, as a whole, down south with less of the hassle. - Just my experience - not meaning to offend anyone. I know someone might have different point of view and that's ok.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah...they are prettier (I grew up in the north land)...but they know it and they are b*tches. Chad
