1 matching discussions were examined; no attributable action/outcome evidence was detected. No consensus or repair conclusion is claimed.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Guys, I was having my car detailed today and the guy asked what the wire was hanging down under my bumper. It is on the passenger side, there is a grommet going into the car, the wire hangs out about 2 inches, it has a pointed thing on the end. Is it some type of sensor?
Based on your description it could be the temperature sensor.
Outside air temp sensor. It shouldn't hang down, it needs to be snaped back in the grommet.
You got a male 996. It's real hard to see when the temperature get cold.
