Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got back into ownership with a 2002 996 Targa, generally a nice car with good spec. She has the PCM, being a 2002 i think i'm right in saying its a PCM1 16bit, with BOSE. The stereo works well, the on board computer too and i'm guessing the phone would. However the nav seems to be an issue. I know they are outdated, but it would be good to have it working. When i picked up the car, there was no disk in and 2 amber lights in the CD unit flashing. I found a disk with the books ( a copy not an orignal), placed this in the unit, it swallowed the CD and then nothing.... When i select Nav it just says its unavailable, i've tried to eject the disk but it won't eject and the two leds on the front are still flashing amber... Any idea what could be going on, would like to get this working but only if its a fairly easy fix, don't want to spend silly money

Press the CD button and then see if it wil eject the CD. I not on my old 04 the eject button was kind of picky. I had to press it several times for it to eject the CD.
