Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Or is it possible to do it with just one side in the air?

POST 2Original post

You need to have the suspension level whether in the air or on the ground so that the sway bar is not being twisted as it would be if only one side were jacked up. Cheers, Paul

POST 3Original post

You don't *have* to, but it's easier. Another way to do it would be jack up the one corner you're working on, then once you have the wheel off, put a jack stand/block of wood under the hub and lower the car down until the sway bar is flat.
