Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Why must I destroy every nice luxury sport's car I have. First victim was a 99 m3 with 44k miles back in 04. Nothing wrong with it, and I rip the ac out, sound deadening, insulation, seats, and replace it with race seats, cage and aggressive coilovers. And I felt like a ricer so I sold it, and bought another m3 with everything still intact, cold ac, mint condition. I always drove with the windows down and the ac off, the car felt heavy and numb, so I sold it, and bought the 996. And it started again. The stock seats weren't very comfortable so I bought the sparco evos, and if I've got fixed back seats, well then I don't need the rear seats, and then there are holes in the carpet and seat belts dangling in the back, so I go to take off the cpilar and realize I don't "need" this part or the rear seat belt, or all this carpet. Then I convince myself I don't need a radio, or ebrake. It's not safe to have fixed back seats without a rollover bar, so I might as well get a cage built for the same price, and then I might as well take all the carpet and wiring out. Help!

POST 2Original post

The dreaded "might as well" disease. I've lost two jeeps to that and a CBR 1000. So now trying to keep my hands busy with "upgrades". Gotta try to learn from my past, not easy though. Especially since catalogs keep showing up in the mail
