Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I opened the top on my 996.2 cabriolet. It operated normally. When I tried to close it, nothing happened when I push the button. The clam shell and the side flaps do not move. I checked the Emergency brake switch and it functions as its should and the fuses are good. I also found that the rear windows will not raise when I push the buttons. One of them makes a click when I press the button but the other side does not click. Does anyone have a suggestion on what to look for before I begin to tear the interior apart to get to the convertible mechanism?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found the issue. The top was out of sequence. I had to turn the key on, raise the front windows all the way, then try to close the top and it works properly now.
