I'm looking to buy a C2 within a couple of month. I know of the changes that were put in for the '00 such as the better interior, a few extra horses, etc. but they don't seem to be major(correct me if im wrong on this), I'm more worried about reliability. It seems that the 2000 C2's are going for about $8k more than the '99. Do you guys think that paying the extra $8k or so to get a 2000 C2 will save me money in repairs and headaches in the long run? Since i live in downtown chicago and walk to work, I will only drive this car for fun so probably no more than 5k miles a year and I would like to keep it for at least 5 years. Thanks in advance, any replies would be helpful.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It depends on the car but as people will tell you, 'always buy the newest one you can afford.' I have a 99 with minimal issues. i would rather have a 00 but the subtle differences wouldn't be worth 8K to me. In a few months you will be able to get a great deal and I belive the difference between a 99 and a 00 will be far less than $8K.
