Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Have heard that there are never incidents at DE's - oddly there have been some in very close proximity to the events
Do a search, it has been discussed before. I've asked and in a round about manner, it is NO it is not officially covered but...
You are fully covered by State Farm, unless you may need to file a claim. You are more likely to suffer mechanical failure than a collision.
Forget what ANYBODY says here. What does your policy state? You should have a paper (or digital) copy of your policy terms. Insurance policies vary from state to state from the SAME company based on the insurance regulations of the state.
Cant find a single word pertaining to closed course usage or Driving education courses. Nada. Read my policy 3 times so far.
Your written policy is the gospel. However, I would NOT claim an on track accident unless you like ALL of your policy to either (a) increase dramatically; or (b) be dropped immediately. This is why there is VERY affordable single event DE insurance that PCA endorses.
Thanks Dell I cant find any exclusions but to be on the safe side Ill look into single event insurance. Redundancy can be a good thing. I see no exlusions within my current policy and am planning on driving an event in the near future. I read a post or two about very negative feedback once a customer has mentioned DE to thier insurance providers. Seems its a sore subject with insurance companies. Grey area I suppose???
You can get track coverage for less than $150 per $20k claim. See linky for example: Insurance Example

The other great thing is the DE insurance covers you vehicle without it being reported to your insurance. Huge plus.

Good to know. Cheers. Divot link not working but thanks for the effort
Try Motorsportreg dot com. There should be an insurance link. No affiliation. Just a reference.
Here's the PCA link for the DE insurance from the PCA website: LINK
sorry I see 1-2 or 3 day event coverage
Would have come in handy for a couple guys at the DE I was at this weekend.
A friend of mine totalled his almost new Cayman at T'Hill in January. He had to fight with State Farm but they finally paid off, and so far his policy has not been cancelled.
My State Farm agent told me I was covered as long as it was not a timed event. I know a guy who totaled his GT3 and was paid by insurance. All that said, I would read your policy and talk to your agent rather than assume anything based on what you read on the interweb.
