Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been swayed to the dark side. I rode in a friends 930 with roughly 600+ HP, and I am in love. The availability of mods and the fiscal side make it a real opportunity. If I find the right car; slant nose with the body in good cond. 7.5 + on a 10 scale I can satisfy my need to tinker. I enjoy the 996 but mods are rellegated to a coat of wax, body parts and a tank of gas. My suspension is one and we all know the engine mods are either $$$$$$$ or non-productive. If in your travels you come across a slant nose 930; 1986 or newer, please let me know, factory slant is preferred, cab or coupe no targa. $40K tops, but for the right car a $5K buffer may be enacted. It is funny to think in 86 I could not believe how wide the rear tires were, I am wearing the same on my current car. The search is on...........this is really the fun part.

How do you get 600 hp from 930? SC or Turbo will be big bucks and I'd think reliability will be greatly reduced. You are willing to pay $40k for a 930? That shouldn't be hard to find.
