Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was enjoying my cab headed back from Sabino Canyon Park on Ina Rd when a squad car behind me had their sirens flashing, I began to pull over, possibly thinking I was being pulled over (although I wasn't driving fast). Several police cars flew past, 5 minutes later I was at the intersection where Tucson's shooting tragedy took place. Police, fire, medical were racing in from all directions, I was one of the last cars to clear the intersection as everything was getting locked down. I don't think I have ever seen such a large response of emergency vehicles, especially given Tucson's size. Horrible event, so close to home. Senseless, innocent folks maybe going to Safeway supermarket on a Saturday morning, and walking into such a tragedy.

POST 2Original post

It's sad how it can destroy so many people. I'm pretty sure my nieces go to the same school as that little girl. He better not get a insane verdict. He needs to be strung up.

POST 3Original post

The initial reports said that it took emergency personnel a pretty ridiculous amount of time (30 minutes) to get to the scene. Any update on that?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My understanding is the shooting began sometime after 10am, maybe 10:10 local. I was at the intersection around 10:50, and by then, I can say there must have been up to 100 emergency cars already on site, closing the shopping center and intersection down. In general, I am hearing once the response arrived all the pieces worked very well, and that the critically injured got very rapid care at University Medical Center's trauma center. My sense was the response was very good. I have spent time down there and can say many of the staff there are outstanding. If I am surprised by anything, is that in this day and age, a US congressperson holding a publicly announced town hall neither requests or receives even one squad car of protection (well up through yesterday, anyways). Tucson has over 2,000 police officers, yet a city of this size, and by tradition similar cities across the US, cannot dedicate a single officer to an outdoor, scheduled, publicly open session with a member of congress?
