Alright, I got a stupid question. In replacing my rear cnter console, the "key wire" microswitch popped out and I do not know where to put it back? Any advice? This is "key wire" as described in the B&M install instructions? It's the microswitch that goes on/near the center console storage bin open/key button. thanks in advance

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The console has to be lifted about 6 inches from the back to access the plug socket for the key wire. It fits into the forward facing (front) side of the storage compartment next to the handbrake. It is a bit tricky to reach because the wire is not very long.
I figured it out - the microswitch broke from where it was attached (quite easily). Once I figured out where is broke from (it broke so clean, it was actually hard to see) it was easy to superglue it back on. Feel kinda stupid, but superglue was invented for a reason.
