Hi! I picked this up at a used book store in the US and noticed it differs from every other example Ive seen online. For reference, the one Ive seen is this one . Hoping someone here can shed some light on it. Differences from what Ive been able to find: Tin has no Need for Speed branding on front - Porsche logo only. Also no blue swoosh thing on the bottom, although its still got the PEGI rating and stuff. Maybe they were overlaying stickers, but I feel like that would be out of character for how the rest of it is put together. Booklet cover is the Porsche/40 Jahre side, with NFS on the rear. The ones Ive seen look like the NFS is the front cover. Discogs has the one Ive seen elsewhere, not this one. Contents seem to be the same - two discs (music CD and NFS Porsche 2000), paper sleeve, and booklet (aside from cover switching). Every listing and photo Ive found online shows NFS branding on the tin and booklet. Mine seems to deliberately downplay the gaming connection. My guess is this may have been distributed through Porsche dealerships as anniversary merchandise rather than through EAs retail channels, but again thats just a theory. Has anyone seen this variant before, or have any documentation of a dealer-specific version? Any help appreciated! Thanks for the time Little bit of rust and some dings on the case, but its like 20 years old so 🤷♂️ In all the other ones Ive seen, it looks like the EA / NFS page of the pamphlet is the cover

I have nothing of value to add here, but as a 40AE owner who graduated high school in 2004, this is peak nostalgia. Love it! So cool.
Ive got the Need for Speed branded one in my collection and have seen this other version pop up on eBay a few times over the years but didnt buy it as I couldnt really see any difference other than the tin.
Total speculation on my part, but I think youre theory of dealership promotional swag seems right on the money

Yes, the one you have is the same one I got from the dealership when the 40AE was being rolled out. No clue where mine is. My son may have it.
