Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I am looking for a HID kit for my 996 02 does our stock has 6k 8k or 12k which one should I get?

POST 2Original post

Real factory Litronics are about 4K. If you're seeing 6K, 8K, 12K, then those are fake blue/purple aftermarket retrofit kits that are illegal in the US. The performance (and glare) is inferior to the real factory ones with the correct optics. Much more is in the archives on this topic. IMNSHO, if you can afford a Porsche, then you can afford legal headlights. Good luck!

I think that is what I have on mine now, maybe I never look at my HID from another car, maybe I should and then I 'll change my mind.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
