Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an 02 C2. (recently purchased) I noticed that my breaks are squeaky - usually right before the car comes to a stop. It annoys the hell out of me and i'm wondering if this is normal. I used to drive land rovers with that problem and the dealership would say they cant do anything about it because that squeakiness is unavoidable. Is this true with Porsche? thanks everyone.

POST 2Original post

Pretty standard really. If you jam on them pretty hard from about 60 or so, it will get rid of the squeal for a while.

POST 3Original post

What brake pads are you using? My stock pads are pretty quiet, my track pads on the other hand, I can play a whole orchestra with the right modulation......
