Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was browsing around the parts manual the other day, and noticed that the basic frame of the hardback sports seat is the same as the comfort seat. The differences appear to be only the foam, hardback and cover, plus a few little parts. All the core parts and electrics are the same. I have considered a full sport seat swap, but would lose the full-power, memory and heat unless I found a really loaded set. Also, with my Metropol Blue interior, they're not easy to find. But if I just swap the seatback parts, I keep my full power, memory and heat. Heck, I would probably have the only supple sport seats around.

POST 2Original post

I would love to know the answer to this interesting question. I have to replace a panel (driver's left side bolster) and have been weighing my options.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just found a post on Renntech.org from a guy who did exactly that. He had an upholstery shop do the swap, but said they essentially took all the soft bits from the sport seats and put them on the comfort frame and mechanicals.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
