Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The scratch on the interior door pulls (the lever you pull to open the door) has been bothering me. I finally decided to replace them with new ones. This involves taking the door panel off. It took me about 2 hr total for 2 doors. Once you've done one, it's only about a 30min job. This is what the door looks like without the door panel. If anyone needs a new set of door pulls, I can set you up for less than dealer asks which is about $300 for the door pulls after tax. I happen to have another extra set!

POST 2Original post

My driver side door pull is all chiped and I may be interested in buying your set. Do you have a good set of directions for taking off the door or is it just find the screws and take it apart? Does your door panel seem 100% tight after putting it back on? I once removed my door panels in another type of car and it really never fit as tight again.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Directions can be found at Renntech.org. I also have print outs of additional how to which can be shipped with the parts. You'll need to pop open cover on the black handle, take a few screws out, pop the whole door panel out. When put back together, there is no rattle so no worries. If you have done panel removal, it should be easier for you as I was doing it for the first time and that took me about 2.5 hrs. It'll probly take you about an hour.

POST 4Original post

how long to get the the door covers back on? in other words, once you have figured out one way, is the reverse now easier?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

once you take out the door panel, putting it back take about 10min. if you did one side of the car, the other side should take you about 30min.
