and the NTSB is looking into it. What's the tally now on the 996 RMS? I guess the RMS issue is "less serious" than a Prius suddenly running out of power while running down the highway. Seriously speaking, if a leaky RMS was left alone, and allowed to keep leaking, does it cause catastrophic damages? If yes, then maybe the NTSB should look into it.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The point with RMS is there is a fix and if you suffer from it the RMS leaks very slowly. More of a pain in the a** than anything and only about $800 out of warranty. Much less serious than total engine shutdown on the highway like the Prius
That's great!!! You'll have to excuse me... but I must vent. Last week, some serious a**hole in a freaking Prius, decided I was the target of his roadrage. And he proceeded to cut me off and tried to side swipe me on the freeway multiple times. Traffic was heavy and I couldn't just gun it. This lasted for a couple miles until I did a quick maneuver to confuse him and take a quick exit route. I didn't want him chasing me down on side streets either. To this day I don't know what sparked his rage. I was stuck in traffic like everyone else, and minded my own business. So I feel that this is karma coming back... and this idiot and his f'ing Prius deserve all of this.. Vent over... I feel much better now. Thanks!

I guess if I was having to drive a butt ugly Prius I would be in a rage as well. It may be just that simple! Bill
A few years ago I had a similar situation on the FDR in NYC. Some guy just started cutting me off and giving me the finger. I was minding my own business driving the speed limit with everyone else, no lane changes, this guy just wanted to screw with me. People are A-holes.
It is really hard to know what goes through people's heads, but it is a lot of fun to guess. Here is my guess. The other driver loved steaks, SUVs and dirtbikes, but got married to a woman who was a PC eco fanatic. She convinced him to become a vegetarian, sell his SUV and get rid of the dirtbikes in favor of a Prius. After a year or two, she leaves him for a Doctor with a Turbo S Cabriolet Tiptronic. Now, he drives a Prius that stalls for no reason and he has no woman, no SUV, and no muscles because he can't stand eating Tofu so he doesn't get enough protein. You just drove by in a Porsche. The rage seems perfectly understandable to me
Now that is funny.......Why a Tip tho??
Uh oh.....here comes the tranny wars!
TD that is hilarious... and wouldn't surprise me if it is all true!...
Could it be L...?? Hmmm...Prius, eco-loving wife, frustrated...sounds like someone needs to curb his enthusiasm. And, certainly Fast40th, you would never allow a Prius to chase your Porsche down?

What is a Prius? One of those ever ready powered cars?
