Just realized my 99 has a manual from an '02. I'm about to change the oil...can anyone tell me the capacity of the 99 engine? Is it 9 quarts, or 10? Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

The closest answer is 9 quarts. It is better to underfill a little rather than overfill (IMHO). Here is the info from the Service Manual: 911 Carrera (3.4 liter engine) - 8.50 liters (8.98 quarts) 911 Carrera (3.6 liter engine MY02 on) - 8.25 liters (8.71 quarts) Boxster - 8.50 liters (8.98 quarts)
Thanks Loren! I appreciate the prompt reply.
