Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone installed the MY 2000+ Non-smoker kit in a 996 with Graphite Grey interior? My 2003 Targa actually has the Grey interior with Black carpet and the lower half of the door trim in Black, so I'm thinking I can get away with the Black non-smoker kit. Opinions, experience? Thanks folks, Lawrence

F*ck yeah you can get away with it! I think I covered all of the criteria you mentioned above ^ !

POST 4Original post

Do you think black would look cool or are you just stuck because that's the only color you can get? Have you contacted Eric to see if you can get a kit that properly matches your interior? Your request is a "style" issue so it's very subjective. Where are you coming from ?

Thanks for the comments - I'm looking at Black because there are only two colors available, black and a different grey that was common in '97 - '99 models. Suncoast advised that Porsche only released the kit in Black from MY 2000 on. I have enough black (and a little carbon - emergency brake and shift lever ****) that I think I can get away with it. Plus the black carpet should help. In any case, its inexpensive. if its really looks horrible, you might see it for sale here! Thanks guys. Lawrence
