Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am going to do my F/R brakes soon( this w/e ) or next and was wondering if there is a place in Portland or nearby to get the parts. I thought it would be a nice rip down I-5 to the land of NO sales tax. I live in Seattle so the drive is not too bad. The money I save would cover the fuel but not a speeding ticket. I guess while I was down I wonder if there could be some other items I could pick up to increase my tax free savings. Any cool mod shops around?

Sunset Porsche/Audi in Beaverton. PCA discount applies

POST 3Original post

(They have been doing a Rennlist discount for me, shh don't tell.)

POST 4Original post

Rennsport Systems Mod shop in Portland. I have not done any business with them, just found them on the web.

POST 5Original post

I5....... Pick your travel times carefully. I5 from Fife to Olympia can be a bear. Hazeldale into Portland ditto. Bear in the air around the Toledo exit. Or... The scenic and FUN route. I90 to Ellensberg, south via the river road to Yakima, then on to Goldendale. And then West toward Mt Adams and down to the Columbia (best part of the drive) and then on to Portland.

Like Lee said Sunset is pretty good and they offer a nice discount to PCA memebers, Renntech and Rennlist as well. And Jeff in parts is a terrific guy. I get my stuff thru Stuttgart Autotech. They are a small independent shop that does phenomenal work on P/cars and they are a bunch a good guys to boot. I would never even consider taking my car back to Sunset. In fact, you couldn't pay me to take my car there...I digress... Parts... They are very competative on prices. Sometimes they are several dollars less than the Porsche list price...BUT it is part dependent meaning some part prices would be exactly the same as what Porsche charges. They are not open on Saturday, however... Check it out and give JESS a call with your hit list...
