Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

i dont know why people do that to an engine concieved and engieered to be high-revving naturally-aspirated. however, to each his own.

POST 3Original post

High revving but more importantly, high compression. High compression + boost = boom.

That point is right on target. When automobile manufacturers add a super or turbo charger, they will strengthen the cylinder walls to withstand the increased pressures. Also, Porsches are in perfect balance, i.e., their suspension systems and engine performance are in perfect harmony to produce the best track performance. So if someone is only concerned about 1/4 mile times, a supercharger is a relatively inexpensive way to get faster. But don't expect engine durability even on a Porsche.
