Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I guess nothing is involved. Dealer just gets you an Enterprise rent a car and sticks your car out by the back fence calls you 2 days later and says "your good to go" and sends you to the cashier to fork over $650.
650? Whatta deal! Most charge $1k.
it involves jacking up your wallet and lightening it
Seriously LVDell??? Is that what they are charging for 60K service? WOW!
You know....My dad has never brought any car he has ever owned in for service EVER, and he has never had an ounce of trouble with any car. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
you should at least bring it in for service during the warranty period anyway, at this price point, you shouldn't have to be pinching pennies when it comes time to service the car. if one chooses to do it oneself, for whatever reason, fine, but it isnt exactly a good idea to cut corners when 'servicing' a 60-130k car. if that is a neccesity, it probably wasnt a good idea to buy the car in the first place. but hey, to each his own.
Tom has a point. I do all the straight fwd DIY stuff myself but leave the major stuff to the dealer. No desire to cut corners here. Not on a car of this cost. I didn't drop near 100K to cut a corner. My rule of thumb is if I don't think I can do the job PROPERLY myself, then the dealer does it. I have relegated myself to oil, brakes, fluids, filters, plugs, etc......Basically the routine service items and everything included in the 60K service (minus the p-belt).
Belt, plugs, oil, fluids, all for $1,000 to $1,200 at the Porsche dealer.
thanks for the info... Rick
