Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Slightly hit a curb with my brand new oz's ... losing my mind, its about a 2 inch scratch on the rim similar to what happens when going through a mechanical car wash.. can this be repaired... if so, anyone know a shop in south florida... ruined my weekend....

POST 2Original post

There are some shops on the East Coast that will do this work but I am not sure where to go in Florida. Your dealer should be able to help. Generally speaking the rims can be repaired.

POST 3Original post

I had two rims really badly scratched (the porsche factory turbo twists) and Porsche sent them off to be repaired and repainted... 200 a rim. Not bad considering they are about 700 a piece new. When they came back they looked brand new, I was very impressed.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i will call now,, feeling better already.. the rims cost me about $800 each.

POST 5Original post

Wheel Techniques did mine for, I think, $225 a rim here in the SF Bay Area.

POST 6Original post

zubunure There is a place in miami called ernies alloys. they sell new and referbished porsche rims. they may be able to direct you to a place in south florida that will help you with your oz's. http://www.erniesalloys.com/

POST 7Original post

polished or painted lip? if painted, you can do it yourself if you are a little handy, if polished, polishing it back out should be easy for a shop. Jason
