I need to get my car into the shop for some minor maintenance, but want to try trouble shooting a problem or two on my own first. I looked at suncoast porsche, searched for brake light switch, and got this: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...986BRAKESWITCH For starters, is that the right part for a 996? It says 986, but I dont see a 996 option anywhere on the site. it also says for manuals, this is also the clutch switch. Is that correct? I was thinking of picking up the brake and clutch switches and replacing them just to see what happens. If these are not the right parts, can someone tell me the part numbers for the correct parts? Thanks

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks! Saved it. Found the parts on pelican. I wasnt totally sure how to read that pdf but now it makes sense. I'm hoping these two parts will fix both my starting problem and my psm/abs lights. I may grab an ignition switch just for fun too, but I think I might try these first
