Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My rear speaker cover grills are broken. Its just the "mesh" exterior that is broken, the speakers work fine. When one broke I figured it was a freak thing. When the second broke, well, they seem to be pretty weak really. Porsche dealer told me the only option if I want to fix it is new speakers at 100+ each. My question is (and yes, I tried the search first) do I pony up the dough, buy better after market rear speakers, or is there a better speaker "cover" I could put on instead? I think the stockers are pretty flimsey, so I'd rather not just replace them (just to see them break again...) Thanks in advance for any input!
