I've read alot on this board about avoiding the early production '99's. How do I know if the car was an early or late production in that year? I have the Vin#'s for the cars I'm considering I just don't know how to decipher them for month of production. Thanks in advance.
There is a sticker on the lower portion of the driver door that specifies the build date. Not sure what the date cutoff is for early/late 99. The only difference I am aware of is the early 99s have amber tail lights while the later builds have clear lights.
My 99 made in June 99 has clear tail lights. My Bother-in-law's 99 made in Nov 98. He has not had any real problems.
