Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am. I'll probably win too. I have a carbon fiber chariot with spiked wheels being pulled by Shadowfax. L.A is a short stop away....no more than 2 days as the Nazgul flies.
Looks like a great place for people with more money than brains to showcase limited driving skills in very fast cars.
I thought this was a movie?
Do the math 300 cars at $10,000 entry fee equals $3mil. Prize money is $1mil. The only winner in this race is the promoter.

It's not necessarily a slam dunk for the promoter. What if he doesn't hit his gross potential of $3 million? Plus, he has expenses to cover like track rental, insurance, marketing, advertising, staffing of the event, etc. Maybe he has back-end revenue/profit sharing with the track and/or others? It's true that promoters can make a lot of money, but they can also lose their shirts. I have no way of predicting the profitability of this event, but it's not assured that the promoter will walk away with his pockets full of cash.
it will be fun to watch the insanity. Fantasy camp at 160mph
I smell a scam.

+100 Why is there very little info on the main page?!?!?
DEFINITIONS Leap of faith: Sending $10K to The Million Dollar Race Inc. and expecting the race to happen, and expecting that the company is financially sound. Brave soul: Someone who sends $10K to The Million Dollar Race Inc.
Here's a promo pulled from the internet (YouTube). It's very slick and professionally produced - but do any of you think the drivers are really amateurs? Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYizj6F1Nnc
maybe it is someone from a sub-prime firm.
Quotes source post: 5150459
If not a U.S. based sub-prime financial services firm, then might it be one of those respectable firms in Nigeria that has asked me to help them transfer money out of that country into a US bank account that I would set up?
Quotes source post: 5150527
LOL Hey, they asked me first!
Quotes source post: 5150609
So YOU'RE the reason they dumped me, Arnie!

I smell a Hollywood movie or reality show. If they already have all this footage, then it must've already taken place. Still, I'd watch it, no problem.
From the application on their website: "...likeness release for video taping for commercial use (DVD etc…), and hold harmless/indemnification authorization as well as a promotional DVD of the Million Dollar Race and a DVD of the motion picture “Red Line”. Sounds to me like these are the same guys who made "Red Line" and are looking for more promotional fodder. Perhaps they have a TV deal lined up for this thing... -B
Assuming it's for real and they are racing on a good track I know plenty of guys that would jump at it. You can't race a cup car for a weekend for $10k so the money's not insane and there are a lot of very talented amateur racers out there. Just go to a big PCA club race sometime. I'd be in but I don't have a fast street car....or talent. Jim
Looks like a lot of video clips culled together from the all time crappy movie...RedLine.
