CGT, WOW nothing more to say other than amazing! Now, the 997. Exterior in person is very nice except the headlights, I just don't care for them. I am guessing from the factory applied stone guard on the rear quarters that this area is ultra prone to being sand blasted because the hips are wider. I don't mind the 19" wheels although they will be a real task to clean. Interior. Well. What the hell is the deal with the head rests? they practically touch the ceiling, I have never seen such a tall seat back/headrest. Don't like that at all. They couldn't have put the window switches in a worse place. They are on the door forward of the door pull. If you think about this for a minute....you have to twist your wrist about 60 degrees to depress the switch. If they were hell bent on placing them on the door they should have been in line with the handle, not flat on the door. My Audi has them in the right place on the door. But I think the best is where our 996 switches are. The steering wheel plain old sucks and looks cheap and out of date. I do like the rest of the interior. The straight lines of the door design and dash look nice in person. I have yet to drive the 997 because the dealer is never open.....Hmmmmm Are they pulling a Neiman Marcus/Harry Winston here? Making so much money and playing hard to get. Anyway, my bottom line, I wouldn't buy the base 997, we already have one and it's nicer. Much. I would buy the 997S and the following week you could find my steering wheel on ebay. Need I say anything with regards to buying the CGT, it's not happening.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have not seen this mentioned... the 997 hood lip is curved, like in the CGT and the original 356, instead of straight as in the original 911. Interesting, a major change in the 911 design harking back to its 356 roots - and it looks good.
It seemed like it was really hard to see the oil pressure gauge through the steering wheel on the 997 I looked at recently. Anyone else notice this?
