Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

with my sun roof open I get a good deal of wind buffeting. On my Audi there was a sweet spot that would stop the buffeting. Is there something similar with the C4 coupe?

POST 2Original post

to reduce buffetting in 996's... one, open it only 40% or 45%. if you have it at 1/2 open or more, your eardrum will bleed. two, if you must open more than 1/2, crack about 1/4 of your window down then it's fine.

POST 3Original post

Mooty is correct. Also, it has been a while since I really checked it, but seems with all the windows up and roof full open, buffeting starts about 30 MPH and goes away above 55 or so. I don't get buffeting 60 and above.

POST 4Original post

Wait, you mean, the windows go down? (I really have to move out of the desert.) -DT

POST 5Original post

shortshift is right in that "buffeting starts about 30 MPH and goes away above 55 or so" if you got faster than buffetting comes back ;o(
