Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes, any tint (or even glass for that matter) effects the performance of your radar detector. I have mine mounted a bit low (below the rear view mirror) so that: 1) I avoid the tint, and 2) the rear detector on my V1 has a clear view. At one point I had a list of different manufacturers glass and the % loss of radar transmission but I can't find it right this second. Shawn
I mount mine on the visor and have full range, even with new windshield from Porsche. Some windshield, such as my BMW do have RF glass which can reduce range considerably.
My V1 is at the top of the windshield and I'm happy with forward and rear performance. There are some figures on the Valentine website, including an older Porsche Turbo of some vintage or other, where the Porsche tint wasn't all that bad for RF performance.
mine is mounted at the top next to the resr view mirror. Seems to work fine.
