Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

anyone have these size tires for rear tires? thanks

POST 2Original post

Probably not because they're a full inch larger in diameter than one of the approved sizes (285/30). 275/35 would be doable IMO, as it's only 3% bigger than the 285/30 and only 1% bigger than the 265/35.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just curious as to why you say they are too tall? and would they not fit? thanks for your help

POST 5Original post

An inch taller? Almost a full 2 inches taller. I had 265/40R *17* and they were taller. It's been said that 4% is the limit for PSM. Traction control and/or ABS may be more tolerant. P.S. Nice color

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

my screwup. the bill they gave me had the 40 size tires, but actually should have read 275 35-18. they do look better than my old 265 35-18 tires. thanks all.,

POST 8Original post

If you are wanting to go wider, go to 285/30-18's. This is the correct size and what 02-04' Carreras had on 18x10" wheels from the factory.
