Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All, Anyone bought a PSE for a 3.4L 996 recently ? What is the best price ? There are none on e-bay that i could find. Thanks Oh, here is a shot of me at my first AX

POST 2Original post

Actually there have been several on ebay in the last week or two. I bought one for $535.00, but it does not have all the electrics. There was another with all the electrics, etc. that went for $1,150 last week. The is also one now from LA Porsche Dismantler for $900, or make an offer http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...45043724QQrdZ1 Keep watching as they are on there all the time. There is also a new Ztek on Ebay for $599.00

POST 3Original post

Get the newer PSE (the 3.6 model). It fits without ANY modification and sounds better. I bought mine brand new from B-Wine for 1499 since I didn't want a used exhaust.

POST 4Original post

3,4 sets are damn near impossible to find, just do fabspeed and be done with it.

POST 5Original post

stay away from LA dismantlers..they don't sell you what they show...and give you a lot of B.S. when you tell them!!

POST 6Original post

If you desire the OEM PSE, then it is not necessary to "find a 3.4 version". The latest versions work fine on the 3.4 engine. I got kit, complete with electronics, plus the dash switch (which is inexplicably not included) from Sunset for just over $1400 shipped to Georgia.

POST 7Original post

I don't know where to find one, but I just wanted to put in my 2 cents: I have OEM sport exhaust on my 99 C2 and it sounds pretty awesome. I love it. Good luck in your search.

POST 8Original post

Forget the overpriced OEM. Just buy a fabspeed as I did for my 3.4L 98 CII. Sounds deep and sporty. No resonance quiet at highway speeds but rumbles at poser speed. Fits no problem. On the track the sound is just awesome.
