Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

And today I was there for the first time. I joined this discussion group last week with my first post. Right awayI was warned that I would be steered towards mods by well wishing brother Pster owners...and yea verily I say to you...twas true! I was in fact "steered" towards mods by some of your posts to this forum ....and I was in fact weakened....and my bank account was in fact diminshed somewhat...but the end result was gratifying. So there really is a Sharkey AKA Alex and his faithful sidekick James. For you folks who have never been there...it's great. It's a small operation with dedicated attention given to you the minute you walk in to your SCHEDULED appointment (hint guys). I have been emailing Alex for over a week and the back and forth led to me making the 100 plus mile trip...and I'm totally satisfied with what those guys did, how they did it, and the end results. I went with the s/s mufflers and headers from Schnell and really glad I did. Their quality is superb. Welds are nice, the collector is finished and polished inside, the mufflers and headers are chrome art. I'm somewhat conservative, so the Schnells are quiet sitting there idling, and quiet at cruising speed with absolutely no resonance or radio blocking sound, but when you get on it, they awaken the fire breathing dragon from within. So they're reall great if you guys need to sneak into the garage late at night....they don't snitch you off to the old lady! They probably won't meet the needs of you guys who want REAL LOUD...but for us retired guys who want quiet and loud when appropriate they're made to order...plus they're less expensive than "the other brand". See how discreet I am? Bottom line guys...Alex and James are a dedicated duo with a class act. They have my vote for any future work even though I'll whine about the 100 miles ....plus I got a neat Sharkey hat out of the deal! Oh, and for Jim...yes, I took a bunch of pictures...including some pics of the dynamic duo at work. I'll get them on the board after I re-read the instructions on how to post them . Later guys.........Chuck I forgot to add that they did the GIAC/EVO performance flash tune and the Venturi intake system (V Flow). That's going to be it for me for a while.

POST 2Original post

Better learn quick since we love our pics!!!! Tim (gota911) has posted detailed instructions on several occassions about how to post pics.

POST 3Original post

Down the slope you fall..... and yeah, Alex and James will convince you of lots of things.... all of them involve moddin.. They are good people.

POST 5Original post

heya chuck, as I was saying in my email back to you. Seriously thanks so much for taking the time to drive down and hang out. I know it's an expensive hobby and I wish that it wasn't (so does my own wife for that matter!) but you folks always seem to keep it fun and enjoyable for us. Luckily I got a few snaps for ya! Some before and afters....

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

.....And I guess my response back to you Alex is that it might be a bit expensive, but I can't remember when I've felt more of a return on my dollar for what you and James gave me. I have to say thanks Alex for the pics...you're a sneaky little devil. I never saw your camera....does that mean I'm off the hook for having to post pictures of my new (to me) P-car for the rest of you photo phanatics out there? You velocity voyeurs?? But I do have to admit....that 103 miles back to my house from Shark Werks was a reallly great experience....that is, once I was free of that freakin' bay area traffic. God I love this country!!! Especially the wide open road. I'm on the sixth step of Nirvana. The seventh step is preceeded by the installation of the supercharger. And speaking of pictures....Alex...please post the pics of your weekend trip to Phoenix and the running of your black 900 hp black beauty. I'm snitching you off to the guys on this forum. Chuck

POST 7Original post

Chuck - No, you are not off the hook for posting pics! Alex has shown us the underside of your car, now you have to show us the top side and interior! We love pics,... we NEED pics to survive! Come on, Newbie, POST 'EM UP!!
