Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whoah, check it: http://www.997gt3.com/pics1.htm

POST 2Original post

Why, in one of the photos,is the car revving @8500rpm and only doing 234km/h?

POST 5Original post

Why sad? Every car has a targeted market. The turbo is not targeted for the track junkies. It is more of a very polished gt these days. I actually kind of like it this way. I stopped lusting after the turbos with the 993 model. The 996/7 are nice to look at, but I don't wake up in a cold sweat lusting after one. Now a GT3 on the other hand IS a dedicated track car, and I do lust after them.

POST 6Original post

I do think both the turbo and the GT3 look equally great.

POST 8Original post

GT3 is beautiful, new Ruff turbo is also great looking, The new 997TT looks (IMHO) like they hired a designer from Japan/Toyota, reminds me of a Supra, way to glitzy. The 997 went retro, with round head lights etc. The Turbo went the other direction, and poorly at that.

POST 9Original post

Yes, it's amazing to see gen 1 back. I like it! The HP numbers are incredible. This will be a great car.

POST 10Original post

I'll take either one...GT3 or Turbo..or the Ruff......they look great...and they must "fly"!! 193MHP for the GT3 WOW!! The fastest I ever went was 260km/h in my then 928 in Germany, what an excitement, compared to the lousy 135MPH I got it to for only a little while on my way to Vegas

POST 11Original post

WOW! That is one HOT looking car. 9 sec faster at Nordy than the F430? Hot damn! This car is incentive for me to invest more and more to afford it... soon soon incredible cars coming out these days

POST 12Original post
