Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Black...QQcmdZViewItem opinions??

POST 3Original post

I have tinted tailights, but my car is ocean blue with tinted windows. I wouldn't do it on a light colored car.

POST 4Original post

I would buy the film instead, this way when inspection time comes you can just remove the film, pass inspection and reapply it.

POST 5Original post

I looked at the pics u posted of your car with the black wheels and the tinted windows the lights would probably look very good. I have my original tail lights in storage in case of any inspection problem. But i passed NY inspection with them on.

POST 6Original post

no love personally, mine are "smoked" and thats dark enough for me.

POST 8Original post

jb26jb - How about a picture of your Ocean Blue with the tinted tail lights? I have been looking at these for a couple of months for my Ocean blue cab but want to see how they look. The source for these lights does not have a picture of them on a car. Want to go extreme? Here are the tinted headlights: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Black...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 9Original post

smoked is fine but those in the auction look rice.

POST 10Original post

it might look interesting on an all black 'SPY' car for James Bond with an ejection seat and missile launchers. For you, though? hmmmmm.....unless you work for the CIA?

POST 12Original post

The only way to really know is to put them on the car and post a picture. I am assuming you car color is Yellow. You may get away with it if it is. If there is a return policy then try them out. Worst case scenario is you pay for the shipping. Best case scenario you like them.

POST 13Original post

I purchased the black frames you can put over the headlight...it divides the headlight into main, secundary and blinker with a special opening for the washer system...don't know if I am going to like them..they are black and my P is black.....will take a pic when I install them to get killed by the critics and their honesty on this site!! If I don't like them...I have to convert to the newer past 2002 headlights..meaning..new bumper, side panels and lights....expensive mod.!!!!

POST 14Original post

I'll try to get a pic up. I was worried they would look a little ricey too. But actually look very understated on the car. Less ricey than replica GT2 wing on a narrow body. But to each his own.

POST 15Original post

Not my my taste. In the midwest these type of tail lights and believe it or not head lights are very common on Mustangs and F-body GM cars. I still don't understand the tinted headlights. There is no way I want to reduce the light output of my headlights (or even my tail lights for that matter)... I want the brightest and most powerful lights possible.

POST 16Original post

And...no part of a Porsche should ever resemble any part of a post 60s Mustang

POST 17Original post

ummm.... black tailights look good on certain cars with certain mods (has to be very agressive) IMHO. Usually black color cars only and I think it's more suited for wide-bodies than us narrow-bodies. It's definitely a different look, but I do like them on the pics below...
