Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yesterday Fla Everglades region and suncoast region held BBQ and peoples choice event at the Colier Museum in Naples. This museum houses one of the finest collection of auto, including one of the largest if not the largest Porsche collection in the world and is NOT open to the publc. Only with special permission from the Collier Family. Unfortunatly you can not take pictures in the museum but here are a few from local cars that showed.

POST 4Original post

Someone snuck in an orange Italian! Great pics!

POST 5Original post

Nice pictures. That Orange Gallardo has a Porsche Crest on it, haha

POST 6Original post

Did they have any super exotic Porsches in the museum? (Damn them for not letting you take pics! ) Brian

POST 7Original post

I just love that 959. That is THE classic Porsche IMO! Thanks for sharing.

POST 8Original post

Totally agree, my fav of the group is the red 959! Sure hope all the e-brake's are engaged for the cars along that waterline

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They had porsche Number 001 and porsches all the classes of porsche cars. I'm not up on all the old numbers but they had (all original) 550 spyder, 917, 356's, 904,906,908,917LH,Abarth,904 carrera GTS,and more not to mention the open air group of race cars, mercedes cunninghams etc they even had the #4 (out of 5) corvette grand sport. They have 110 cars in the collection they also send them all over the world for to different shows a really cool place.

POST 10Original post

Forget the Carrera GT, if I had mid 6-figures to throw at a car, the 959 wins hands down. What a gorgeous car.

POST 11Original post

Thanx for sharing those pics, looks like a great event.

POST 12Original post

Thanks for sharng. The 959 rocks....what kind of milleage did it have on ? Is it getting use or is it a museum piece ? We all know the lambo probably doesn't have much mileage on it.....god forbid you actually drive an Italian car....

POST 13Original post

It's just the bad light from my camera phone pic, I'm not usually that orange.

POST 14Original post

I think 959 isn't street legal (many have tried). So, I'd think it's either for track use or as a collector's item.

POST 15Original post

You learn something everyday...thanks for the info.

POST 16Original post

Nice pics...thanks for sharing. That red 959..too sweet. I think I read somewhere in Excellence that a company in California is federalizing 959's now. I think its called Canepa Customs...from what I read i read they have done quit a few of them. Too bad you couldn't get any pics of the 906's and 908's..some of my favorite P-cars. Lou

POST 17Original post

Mike, it was great seeing you at the event. Your car looks awesome. Did you get my PM?? That it do... Loved the color separation of the cars in this shot (silver/gray/black on one side red/yellow/orange on the other). Another of the gorgous 959 that won the Viewers Choice Award. I think Mike and I were the only ones to take advantage of the lake view. One more gratuitous shot...

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The 959 had fla tags on it and I believe it was driven to the event. All the museum car are inside, but they are all driveable, we were told that they are taken out and driven every couple of weeks
