Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

While cruising the eBay listings for potential Turbo's I came across this beauty By the way, it's a 1999 that the seller has a reserve price of $62K!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...83248241QQrdZ1 Enjoy!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Like putting a GT2 badge on a 99C2 CAB? Just don't understand some people. Especially the reserve of $62K!!!

POST 5Original post

You thinking of crossing over? Its a 2001....actually looks pretty cool to me except for the GT2 badging And the price is whack, for $50k it would work. Who sells that mesh for the front bumper?

POST 6Original post

The GT2 tag is funny The 911 tags on the side are hilarious The fact it is a tiptronic car is when I rolled on the floor. Thanks for sharing! AW

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not realy crossing over but adding another car to the stable. Basically my wife is hooked on the track days and has COMMANDED me to buy another P-Car so she doesn't have to share! I narrowed it down to GT3/997S/TT since the 996CAB was a compromise (I wanted a 996 coupe and she wanted a Boxster). Just window shopping right now. Pulling the trigger in early spring. But as for this ricer car, I was rollin' on the ground and wanted to share the joy!

POST 8Original post

If you have to put "911" on the side of a 996, you need help IMO.

POST 9Original post

Rice indeed, but I found something even ricer than that while blog browsing. Check this 911 to GT1 conversion http://www.worldclassexotics.com/GT1.htm And they also have a Boxster to Carrera GT conversion kit -- but I'm not including a link since I don't want to spoil your weekend.

POST 11Original post

Hey I have seen worse, like the one that is listed on ebay once every quarter. You know it strains your eyes with that multi color paint job. The auction states it was painted by some famous artist but waht an eye sore.

POST 12Original post

If you took the rear wing off, and the badging that wouldn't be a bad looking 2001 C2 Cab...

POST 13Original post

I like this part: "VERY RARE COLLECTOR CAR with SPEEDOMETER Reading to 175mph!"

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I love the "$180K look" he claims and "brand new brembo brakes". Nothing more than a crappy job of yellow paint (painted the bleeders and seals as well) on the existing already great brembo brakes. But I totally agree with Rob, remove the wing and all the poser badging and it isn't a bad car (except for that whole Tip thing).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
