Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I might pick up a set of those nice race seats for my 996 so I can finally put my belts to use. Does anyone need the stock seats? I got them as take off s about 10K miles ago and they have VERY limited sun since I garage the car at work and at home. Let me know, BTW: They are black -Eli

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry I wish I could say both but they are your "stock" no crest, non-heated, non-sport, no color stitch seats.... but thanks for asking.... -Eli

POST 4Original post

Eli, I have a 1992 968 that has only 25k miles, seats are great, but curious what power does yours have, and if there is no bolster wear I might be interested if they will fit my car.

POST 5Original post

Shaynes 996 seats will not fit the 968. I tried a long time ago. 993 seats will fit though.

POST 6Original post

I know some one that may be interested. Whats the price? On a scale of 1 to 10 what is their condition? Are they with leather inserts or are they 'all' Porsche vinyl? Jim

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They are leather seats and they have only about 10K miles on them with very little bolster wear on the drivers side. I wear my shirts long (Dickie kind) so my jeans don't come into wear. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being new I would give the drivers side a 8-9 and the passenger a 9.5. If you are local you are more than welcome to come by and take a look. I really don't know what the market is for these so I guess I'm just looking for the best offfer. Please feel free to E-mail me if you are serious or would like to come by.... [email removed] -Eli

POST 9Original post

Thx Eli... I'm in Portland and the interested party is in Seattle. He has a '99 and was complaining about needing some new seats. Seems his dog did a number on them. I'll email him now and let him know. If he is interested he'll email you. His name is Jason Borg...you guys can work out a price if he is interested. He is not a member of Rennlist. Jim

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jim, Thanks, sound like a plan, and like I said before if he would like more photos I could send them over in a day or two...... As they are still in the car. -Eli
