participate and post to the list. I asked this as part of another topic and no one answered. Would like to hear from any female members before I give up driving the 996 and go back to the kitchen PS: I asked before, why do all the little gremlins look like men?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

There are one or two who post in the 993 list from time to time. Not too active, to my knowledge, though. Maybe they lurk a lot.
Are you implying that female gremlins acrually exist?
Cindy, Mellissa hangs out on the 964 board
PS: I asked before, why do all the little gremlins look like men? Its all in the eyes of the beholder.. They look look gremlins to me
I just went on a little rally run this weekend and 2 women were driving 993's, red and white Cabs. Pretty cool....
Good question. Over here in Switzerland, I see lots of women driving 911s (I would guess about 30-40%). My guess is that most women are less technically oriented - combination of automobile tecnhology and internet does not interest most women drivers. PS: How can you tell that the gremlins are men?...

Saw two women driving 996s on the way to work this morning. Both had a cup of coffee in their right hand. Now I know who the Tip is marketed to!
There's a chick over in the 928 board Actually, I think 996s in general are marketed towards women with all the shiny buttons and cup holder and all
Now I think I better understand why some women prefer to take on a male personna when participating in car forums. I still don't quite understand why some males prefer to take on a female personna, however.
There are a few of us women on the board, but I think the amount of time we have to spend on these boards is somewhat limited. I am interested in responses on technical issues and keeping aware of what owners are interested in. (I've added it to my job description so I have an excuse to spend time here!) But I do "lurk" more than post.
This same question (re women on rennlist) came up earlier (See 993RS's post on the 993 Forum 2/27/02). A total of five women responded then.
The number of women over on the very active 924/944 board is pretty sad. I believe there is all of 1, at the most 2.
To Jim Michaels first post...Jim I really don't understand the point you're trying to make ie men taking on a woman's personna and vice versa? Huh?
Lest someone think I'm being rude, I responded to Cindy's question by private email.
