Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

And don't forget that 964 RS Lightweight front hood badge sticker! Seriously though, it's every little tiny thing that you should do if you want to make it light. One this kind of thing is nothing but when you have lots of them, they count. It's not easy tho save 100 pounds with one mod.

POST 4Original post

The paint/powder coating..whatever on the stacks also adds an oz. or 2

POST 5Original post

man look how much room they still had in that engine compartment back then. How many horses are you pulling? and do you have anymore pictures, would love to see some profiles of that ride.

POST 6Original post

Lucas - the 73RSR makes about 308HP from 2.8L, normally aspirated. And Don, the intake stacks are molded in red plastic - no paint or powder coating adding weight. Unfortunately, that car ran very badly at the race (was beaten by a 914-6 among others). I think something was not working quite right with it...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As requested... Yes (as Grant said) it did perform poorly but so did the 908 (poor handling). Bruce Canepa's 935 had fuel starvation problems in the right hand turns so he finished 3rd even though he could pass the Ferrari (12 cyl) at will... until they had to turn right. RSR Front fuel cell RSR entering from pit lane near Andretti Hairpin.
