Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

996 424 981 00 8YR Aluminum/Leather Shift **** The 8YR stipulates Black Leather. It looks a little more like this... except with black leather. This is the Aluminum/Leather shifter, if this is not what you want, then you want the plastic and silver standard shifter which is a different number.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Loren , Thanks, I'm looking for Leather and silver standard shifter (6 speed). not the one you posted.

POST 6Original post

The shifter picture posted by Loren is an '02 stainless version. The shifter is question is the original standard 996 shifter. I already posted the part number on the 993 board.

POST 7Original post

Don't have a photo but try this P/N 996 424 075 02 ENH It is listed on the parts list as black/silver standard **** for 99 only. Later cars did not offer black.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
