Looking for info on whether mufflers with piping an tips attached from a 2005 GT3, will fit on my 40th AE 2004 Carrera. Will they just bolt on, or will some fabrication be required? From what i know, the platforms (both C2) and rear bumpers are the same between the two cars. Not so sure about brackets, and bolt patterns or hangers. Thanks for any input!

Anybody? Time is running out to buy. Thanks!
Should anybody ever wonder about this, like i am wondering, i figured it out. The short answer is NO. Will be able to mount the mufflers, but inlet pipe is different size, and fabrication will be required for tips to line up properly. Thank you me!
Sorry to hear that it wasn't a direct, bolt-on replacement. Are you going to modify them?

I actually didn't buy them, I was still lurking different sub-forums until i finally found all the info i was looking for, from people that were trying to do the same. Even if you look at the parts catalog on the net, the mufflers have a different part number. It's not so much the fabrication of tips that worried me, my friends makes custom exhaust for leaving, but the inlet pipe being different size. It's looking like it will be Fabspeed Supercups with black chrome tips. It should sound and look deadly.

That's funny . But from countless hours of research, that is the combo i decided on as well. I saw those black quad tips on a TT and i swear something moved in my pants! And Maxflow muflers, i just have a feeling will not be louder enough much over the stock, so Supercups it is. I'll post pics and install, although it may be a while. I'll be ordering them on Monday.
Can't wait to see/hear them! When I watched the utube of the supercups by fabspeed I knew nothing else will get me that beautiful sound! I won't be able to get them for awhile, I need to sort out suspension and wheels first
Fabspeed is always a good decision.
