I noticed this hose has an open end on my 2003 C2 cab. Looks like it is part of the power steering reservoir. See hose that touches the base of the yellow arrow. Sorry I left the extra arrows in the pic I took from Pelican Parts. Has it fallen off its fitting or does it remain open? I cannot see any fitting it would attach to. What is its function? Thanks

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It might be easier to assist you if you posted the actual picture of your car. Even a cell phone pic with you holding the part would be helpful. Tom
Overflow tube from the power steering pump. Nothing to worry about.
Thanks Doug. Is the end supposed to be open and unattached ?
There is a clip for the hose. I forget where and will have to take a look at my car to remember.
Dougs exactly right, its just a overflow hose. Do the complete PS flush and you will know every part.
I can see the clip. Looks like it just will drip on the engine if it has any overflow. Not a great design. Thanks for your help.
If the level is right with the correct fluid, it would be very unusual to overflow.
