Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

How do we get a more sensitive brake pedal? I drove my sisters new Honda and the second I applied the brakes it hit hard.. I really had to finesse it. In my pcar it's not like that.. I have to press farther to achieve same result. Why is that? I want my brake pedal to be more sensitive. How do I achieve that?

I thought they were like that on purpose so it is easier for the driver to modulate the brakes. I'm not a fan of the overly-sensitive pedals because in that case it's often all or nothing.

Spongy/sloppy brakes are different issue than brake compound friction. If you feel as though your pedal throws are not consistent and linear, brake lines and a fluid flush may help. If you want them more sensitive however, this is a pad compound issue. Grabby brakes are bad though, and prevent you from fully controlling your braking due to lack of modulation. I hate the on/off feel stock pads from all the major manufacturers provide. Not sure why you'd want to go to it.

I agree with you. There's an analog sense to braking just like the accelerator pedal. I don't know why one would want to lose this and resort to on/off braking, where an accidental step can be jerky deceleration. I encounter this in rental cars (most mainstream cars I guess) and take a few minutes initially to get used to the sensitivity of the brakes.
