Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so my CTEK trickler came in today, and i'll be having my buddy go and take out the battery. i've heard people say the emergency release wire is under the front right wheel well, others say they think its the drivers, etc. i have a 2003 regular carrera 2. where is it going to be? i dont have my owners manual to look, i'm not at home. it has to be precise enough for me to desrcibe to my buddy on the phone what to do. also, how about instead of closing the front trunk fully, just leaving it open so u can get the latch. my cars gonna have a cover and parked in a gated garage with no mice. any problems with that?

POST 2Original post

Nothing wrong with leaving it ajar if you are sure nobody will close it. If it closes!! Then you are forced to put battery to jumper cables to fuse box as in the Manual to pop the trunk. Indoor garage? The cable "should" be under the bumper passenger side. You need to remove wheel well and possibly front bumper to get to it.
